Walk or jog. Right after your baby is born, you should only do low impact with the approval of your doctor. The best way to get those mid-section muscles back in shape without working too hard during recovery is to walk. This will also be good for baby. Though baby can't see very far yet, she will get to experience fresh air and the sounds of the outside world. You can go back to jogging after you have healed completely and have the okay from your doctor.

Join a Stroller Strides or StrollerFit class. These programs are specially designed to help mom workout with baby in tow. You meet at the facility and then set out as a group. Each class consists of walking with stops for concentrated exercises done with tubing or your stroller. Remember to bring water for you and sunscreen for you and baby.

Develop a set of your own exercises with your stroller. Use the stroller as a support to do squats or leg lifts. Set different walking intervals throughout your route varying between a warm up and power walking. Work hill climbs into your walk route for cardio.
