Why clinics are given redcross sign?

Clinics are not typically given the Red Cross sign. The Red Cross emblem is a protected symbol under international humanitarian law and is only authorized for use by the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, recognized National Red Cross or Red Crescent Societies, and authorized military medical services and personnel. The use of the Red Cross symbol by other entities is prohibited under the Geneva Conventions of 1949.
