List of Budwig Cancer Treatments
The Budwig Diet, although not well known, was created by Dr Johanna Budwig. It uses the mixture of flaxseed oil, and cottage cheese, with other optional additives, as an alternative, that individuals can use to fight many diseases, including cancer.-
What is the Budwig Diet?
-
Over many generations, finding a cure for cancer has been the goal of many biochemists, pharmacologists, and physicists, such as Dr Johanna Budwig. After extensive research, she discovered that cancer patients' blood contained omega-3 at lower levels, and a yellow substance, neither of which was found in healthy blood cells. She also found that trans-fats caused cancer cells, and created the Budwig diet, to help individuals fight breast, prostrate, and lung cancer, and other diseases, such as strokes. This diet was designed to counter the cancerous cells, increase the red blood cells, and eventually overcome the cancer.
Diet Formulation
-
Dr. Budwig focused on flaxseed oil and quark, the two main ingredients in the diet plan. The oil, rich in omega-3, was tolerated by most individuals, and quark, rich in protein, and similar to cottage cheese, was readily available to users. She was convinced that the high protein levels and the omega-3 would complement each other, and it became the most powerful anti-cancer formula. Homemade kefir quark made from buttermilk, or normal yogurt cultures, can be used to substitute quark for those who cannot tolerate dairy products.
Preparation
-
To prepare, the recommended ratio is, one tablespoon flaxseed oil blended, until creamy, with two tablespoons cottage cheese. To treat chronic diseases, a gradual increase from 4- 6 tablespoons of the oil, with the cottage cheese is recommended. A maintenance dose should be calculated by using one tablespoon of the oil, for each one hundred pounds of body weight. Additives to the mixture may include nuts, such as pecan, almonds and walnuts, fresh fruits, such as bananas, pineapples, blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries. Other additives can also include, flax meal, fruit juice, cocoa, shredded coconut, and cinnamon.
Recommended foods
-
As part of the diet, consume a vegetarian diet, and use freshly ground flaxseeds.
Foods to Avoid
-
It is also recommended that food such as sugar, all meats and animal fats, margarine, butter, salad dressings and oils (except extra virgin olive oil, balsamic vinegar and lemon), and foods high in preservatives should be avoided.
