Invacare Oxygen Concentrator Specs

Invacare, a company based out of Ohio, produces a line of home and long-term care medical devices. Their products include wheelchairs, scooters, beds, dialysis chairs and oxygen concentrators. Oxygen concentrators produce a high concentration of oxygen -- 85 to 95 percent -- for oxygen therapy patients by separating oxygen from ambient air. Invacare's line of oxygen concentrators spans both stationary and portable models, all of which operate at a varying range of specifications.
  1. Perfecto2 Series

    • Invacare's Perfecto2 series of oxygen concentrators are large stationary devices. The Perfecto2 line includes the IRC5PO2, IRC5PO2W, IRC5PO2V, IRC5P and IRC5PW models. The range of Perfecto2 models output oxygen concentration from 87 to 95.6 percent and produce up to 5 liters per minute. On average, Perfecto2 oxygen concentrators consume 280 watts when producing 3 liters of air per minute. The Perfecto2 series relies on a HEPA (high efficiency particulate absorbing) cabinet filter of the HEPA with a compressor inlet. These units stand 23.375 inches high, 15.375 wide and 12.375 inches deep. They weigh between 40 and 45 pounds, depending on the model. Perfecto2 concentrators can run up to 24 hours per day.

    Platinum Series

    • Like the Perfecto2 series, the Invacare Platinum series presents a line of stationary oxygen concentrators. Platinum concentrators provide an alternative concentrating solution to liquid systems. Invacare's Platinum 10 model outputs 87 percent to 94 percent oxygen concentration at all flow rates and produces up to 10 liters per minute, consuming 585 watts of electricity. The Platinum XL model outputs up to 5 liters of oxygen per minute at concentration levels ranging from 87 to 95.6 percent. It consumes 400 watts of power. Both models share the same dimensions, measuring 26.375 inches tall, 18.375 inches wide and 14.375 inches deep. The XL model weighs 52 pounds while the 10 weighs 54 pounds. Platinum models feature the optional SensO2 system, which monitors air purity.

    Solo2

    • The Invacare Solo2 transportable concentrator provides up to 3 liters of continuous-flow oxygen per minute. This unit runs for 2.6 hours on an optional battery pack -- though it can consume AC or DC power -- and moves along on a wheeled cart. The Solo2 features five varying pulse settings. It uses a gross particle HEPA outlet filter with a compressor inlet. This small unit weighs 19.9 pounds with its battery pack and measures only 16.5 inches high, 11 inches wide and 8 inches deep. Users may attach air tubes up to 25 feet in length for continuous flow settings or up to 7 feet in length for pulse settings.

    XPO2

    • Invacare's XPO2 model portable concentrator stands as the company's smallest and most lightweight device, weighing only 7.3 pounds with a battery and standing only 10 inches high, 7 inches wide and 4 inches deep. Like the Solo2, it derives power from a battery pack, AC power or DC power. It runs for 2.5 hours on battery. This unit features five pulse dose settings for air concentration and consumes 36 watts at its second setting. Patients can use the portable Invacare XPO2 when traveling via airplane.
