  Decide what service you want to purchase. Life Alert offers two services: Life Alert Classic for the elderly and Life Alert 50+ for people over 50. Both services include an emergency contact device (either a watch or pendant), fire protection and carbon monoxide monitoring. Life Alert Classic also offers a 911 cell phone that works nationwide. Life Alert 50+, on the other hand, offers home intrusion protection through security cameras installed throughout your house.
