567th Field Ambulance Company was formed in August 1944 at Camp Carson, Colorado. The company was part of the 163rd General Hospital. The company deployed to the European Theater of Operations in September 1944. The company was assigned to the 114th General Hospital in Liege, Belgium. The company was attached to the 23rd Field Artillery Battalion in support of the 9th Army. The company was involved in providing medical support to the 23rd Field Artillery Battalion during the invasion of Germany and the Battle of the Hurtgen Forest. The company was later attached to the 32nd Field Artillery Battalion. The company was then attached to the 101st Airborne Division in support of the Battle of the Bulge. The company also supported the 101st Airborne Division after the war in Germany. The company was awarded the Belgian Fourragere for its support during the Battle of the Bulge.
