Do you need to go the hospital if fell and bumped side of your head on floor?
If you have had a blow to the head and are experiencing any of the symptoms listed below, it is important to see a doctor right away:
* Loss of consciousness, even if it was brief
* Disorientation or confusion
* Seizures
* Slurred speech or difficulty speaking
* Weakness or paralysis on one side of the body
* Vision changes
* Headache that is getting worse
* Nausea or vomiting
* Difficulty walking or balancing
* Drainage of fluid or blood from the ear or nose
* Change in mental status or behavior
If you are not experiencing any of these symptoms and the bump on your head is small and does not appear to be causing any problems, you can probably just ice it and rest. However, if you are at all concerned, it is always a good idea to err on the side of caution and see a doctor.
