How to Verify a New Jersey EMT Certification

Emergency medical technicians (EMTs) provide medical care to citizens in emergency situations until the patient can get to a comprehensive treatment facility. The medical professions you see working in ambulances and medical helicopters are EMTs. They must be licensed by the state they live in to gain employment. In New Jersey, the Office of Emergency Medical Services (OEMS) handles licensing and enforcement for its EMTs. If you want to verify the status of a New Jersey EMT's license, you do so by looking it up on the EMS website.
