How to Change Your Kaiser Specialist

Kaiser Permanente is a group of hospitals and clinics open to the general public, providing they have health care through Kaiser. These hospitals and clinics are only located in California, Georgia, Colorado, Ohio, Hawaii, Washington, D.C., and parts of Oregon, Washington, Maryland and Virginia. While those with Kaiser are sometimes able to visit doctors outside of the Kaiser network depending on coverage, they can easily switch between doctors and specialists who are inside of the Kaiser network.

  Log onto the Kaiser website and select "Locate Our Services". From the drop-down menu, choose "Selecting a Physician."

  Find your region from the drop-down menu.

  Click "Medical Staff Directory."

  Select the type of insurance you have with Kaiser.

  Choose if you would like to look only at Kaiser doctors, Kaiser affiliated doctors or those in the Kaiser PPO network, if applicable.

  Click "Medical Specialty" on the links. Choose the type of specialty you are looking for.

  Select the facility you'd like to go to.

  Click the doctors' biographies to go to their doctor's page and read about them.

  Select "Welcome to My Office" on the left-hand side of the doctor's page, under "My Home Page."

  Use the contact information to call the doctor and make an appointment.
