How to Replace the Battery in a Jet 3 Scooter
A Jet 3 scooter is actually an electric chair that runs on two 12-volt batteries. The batteries are housed in boxes located beneath the seat of your Jet 3 chair. Over time, the batteries can become permanently depleted and cease to hold a charge. If you want to remove the batteries for troubleshooting purposes or replace them altogether, you are going to have to partially disassemble the Jet 3. Removing and replacing the batteries on the Jet 3 is actually fairly straightforward, and you don't even need any tools to complete the job.Instructions

Press the "Power" button on the controller pad located at the end of the right armrest on the Jet 3. Unplug the controller pad from its port at the end of the armrest.

Lift the top of the seat up to expose the latch just underneath it. Press the latch down to unlock the seat. Remove the seat and set it aside.

Locate the two battery boxes in the area under the seat. Unplug the battery cables from the tops of the battery boxes.

Lift the battery boxes out of the Jet 3 by the plastic handles on top of the boxes.

Unfasten the box straps located on the bottom of each of the battery boxes.

Lift the top covers off the battery boxes to expose the battery terminals inside. Remove the rubber covers from the terminals.

Unplug the battery cables from the terminals and slide the batteries out of the boxes.

Position new batteries in the boxes and attach the battery cables. Replace the rubber covers over the battery terminals and the battery case covers. Fasten the box straps on the bottom of the box. Set the boxes in the Jet 3. Replace the seat and the controller pad on the armrest.
