How to Donate Home Health Equipment in Virginia
Home health equipment is machinery, equipment or items which are designed for improving health in a home. Items include scooters or wheelchairs for mobility, respiratory equipment, canes, crutches or any other medical item used for long or short term medical needs in the home. When the equipment is no longer needed, donate it for use by others that might need the equipment.Instructions

1
Look for a local Goodwill or look up local charities that cater to needs based around health. Virginia's Foundation for Rehabilitation Equipment and Endowment, otherwise called FREE, accepts donations of home health equipment. FREE is located in Roanoke, but some Goodwill locations throughout the state work with FREE.

Call the Goodwill location nearest the area and ask if they work with FREE. If they do, the donation can be taken to FREE for recycling, cleaning and reuse. If not, try another location.

3
Set up a pick-up time or drive the equipment to the location. It is a good idea to make arrangements with Goodwill or FREE to pick it up if the equipment is too large.
