Sony Svo-9500Md Information

The Sony SVO-9500MD is the last of Sony's medical S-VCRs. It was designed for the needs of medical professionals for recording medical procedures such as operations and exploratory work with small medical cameras.

  1. Picture and Sound

    • One of the key features that separates the Svo-9500Md from non-medical S-video machines is the picture and sound quality. The video is field/frame selectable with 8 bit depth which means that it can provide exceptionally clear freeze frames. The Svo-9500Md also features Hi-fi audio.

    Other Features

    • The Svo-9500md is compliant with relevant regulations for medical and industrial equipment, has a user friendly control panel and remote control, a built in auto head cleaning mechanism and automatic search. It also features an auto repeat playback within any two marked points on a recording.

    Maintenance

    • Sony no longer makes the Svo-9500Md. It has been replaced by the Dvo-1000Md which uses DVDs and DVD-RWs instead of video tape. According to Sony's web site, they still offer some refurbished Svo-9500Mds and still offer maintenance on them.
