How Set Up a Braun IV Pump
An error in medication administration can be a lethal mistake. Intravenous medication administration sets can be difficult to set to a precise drip rate. The use of an IV infusion pump allows the administrator to set an exact medication delivery rate to ensure the proper amount of medication is being delivered. A study done by doctors at BYU determined that the use of IV pumps reduced the incidence of adverse drug reactions. The Braun IV pump has a large display and keypad for easy use. It is also equipped with an air-in-line detector to reduce the incidence of air emboli.Instructions
