The monitor is a 15-inch diagonal LCD display equipped with a surface acoustic wave touch panel. It is 15.6 inches wide, 15.35 inches high and 7.5 inches thick. The monitor can be attached to a variety of brackets and swivel stands that are sold separately. The monitor consumes 31 watts of power at full brightness and three watts of energy during its power save mode. It also runs on a standard AC to DC adapter of 100 to 245 volts and 12 volts DC output.

The CDL-1541-92A has a 25 millisecond response time, compared to the average 5 ms response on monitors produced as of 2010. Its native resolution is 1024 x 768 pixels, which provides for a detailed and high definition capable output depending on the video source. Its refresh rate is 75 hertz, which is acceptable for viewing still images. It is capable of producing up to 16.19 million colors and has a 400:1 contrast ratio.

VGA, XGA analog and DVI-D formats are all available input video formats on the CDL-1541-92A. The input connectors require a mini D-sub 15-pin or a DVI-D 24-pin connector.
