If you've ever received an immunization or vaccination, there is likely a record of it somewhere. You may need those immunization records when you're traveling overseas, starting college or changing jobs. Or might need to find your child's lost immunization records. Some states, including Massachusetts, have centralized immunization registries. Once you've exhausted other possibilities, you can try this registry.

  Search through your personal files. Start with the obvious files, such as medical records or your child's records. If you're looking for your own immunization records, ask your parent or guardian to search through their files.

  Contact your childhood physician or your child's pediatrician in Massachusetts. The physician that gave the immunization may still have a record of it. If not, ask the physician's office if older records have been sent to a medical storage company. You can contact storage companies yourself to find the lost records.
