Midol Extended Relief tablets are recommended for easing the symptoms of menstrual cramps. The medication contains naproxen sodium, which is an aspirin free pain reliever. You don't have to limit the use of Midol to just cramps; it can also work well on a headache, backache or toothache as well. Follow the directions on the package for the best results.

  Take one caplet of Midol Extended Relief when pain begins. If your pain is bad, you can take two caplets for the first dose only.

  Drink a whole glass of water with your dose of medication.

  Take another dose, which is one caplet, 8 to 12 hours later if your pain persists.
