Search state and local professional organizations. The Indiana State Medical Association offers an online tool to help you find a doctor. Many large cities and towns in Indiana also have medical societies that can connect community members with local physicians using online referral services and search tools. You can narrow the list of doctors to those in your town or ZIP code and get office addresses, telephone numbers, educational background and medical specialties.

Get information from the state medical board. The Medical Licensing Board of Indiana maintains a directory of all licensed physicians in the state, and the Indiana government website provides a tool to help you find a physician. By visiting Indiana's license verification service and entering "Physician" for type of license, you can review a list of licensed physicians in the state, as well as their contact information, medical specialties and license status.
