What Test Strips Are Used With the CoaguChek Machines?

Healthcare providers and patients use CoaguChek systems to monitor oral anticoagulant therapy in hospitals, clinics and at home. The device measures Prothrombim Time (PT) and International Normalized Ration (INR) from a single drop of blood. A single use disposable test strip inserted into the device carries the blood via capillary action into the measuring chamber. The devices only accept and produce reliable results from test strips provided by CoaguChek; test strips from other manufacturers are not interchangeable.
