How to Become a Patient Care Tech in a Hospital

Patient care technicians, orderlies, attendants, and nursing assistants all have very similar job requirements, which are to provide basic care to patients under the direction of licensed nursing staff. While some patient care technician, orderly or attendant positions may not require a full certification course, such as a certified nursing assistant, most hospitals and facilities now require a certification nursing assistant course in order to have hands-on contact with patients.
