Discount Perscription Programs
Prescription drugs can be a costly expense for those who use them on a regular basis. Some insurance programs limit prescription drug coverage or do not cover prescriptions at all. Still further, many Americans do not have insurance coverage and are forced to pay for their own prescription drugs. Some discount prescription programs make the cost burden lighter by lowering some of the expenses associated with prescription drugs.-
TogetherRX Access
-
The TogetherRX Access prescription drug discount program is a joint venture created by several drug manufacturers. More than 300 drugs are discounted on the TogetherRX Access program, and each of them is listed on the company's website. The program is accepted at most major pharmacies. Those who wish to enroll in the program must first apply and meet certain income requirements that include $45,000 or less in annual income for a single applicant. The income limits increase by $15,000 for each additional family member. The average savings are 25 to 40 percent off of regular drug prices. Applicants must not be enrolled in or be eligible for Medicare or Medicaid, and they must not carry any prescription drug coverage through other companies.
