Of course, Pride Mobility still has its popular lift chairs to help assist elderly and handicapped individuals in and out of a sitting position in their homes. They also make manual wheelchairs and motorized lifts for automobile transportation of power chair devices.

• Pride Mobility products vary in cost depending on model and make. Most customers find them invaluable and well worth their price. A four-wheel mobility scooter ranges in price between $589 and $1,899, while power chairs average $1,199 to $1,745. Along with the chairs themselves there are maintenance requirements, such as batteries that resemble a car battery and cost about $129. Covers for chairs are also available. Pride Mobility provides products to many distributors, and actual prices can vary from one to another.

Funding

• Pride Mobility scooters may be covered by Medicare or other private insurance.
