Contact lenses are popular for both men and women of all ages. These small devices allow users more freedom than glasses and can be used to change the color of the wearers eyes. Unfortunately, some users do not take care of their lenses properly and end up with infections. Remove the contact lens from its packaging or from your contact case and place the lens on the index finger. The rounded edges should be pointing upward.

Using the opposite hand hold the eye open to keep the eyelashes out of the way. This will also make it much easier to insert the lens.

Touch the contact lens to the eye. The lens should grab hold of the eye and create a type of suction. To make sure the lens is in the eye correctly roll the eye from side to side and up and down. If you have done this correctly the lens should adjust itself so that you can see clearly.

Remove the contact from the eye by placing the index finger against the middle of the eye.

Use the index finger to move the lens to the edge of the eye and grip it between the thumb and index finger. It should come right out.
