  Be prepared. Have ready the physician's full name, office address and the city where the physician practices.

  Call [phone] if you wish to verify a physician's license by phone. Because the Medical Board receives a high volume of calls, you will need to call back again if you wish to request information on more than three physicians at any one time.

  Write to the Medical Board for information on physicians, providing the board with the physician's full name and office address, including the city in which the physician practices.
