How can I contact my local SHIP?
You can contact your local SHIP by calling 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) or visiting the SHIP website at medicare.gov/ship.
Additional information
SHIPs are funded in part by the federal government, but each state is responsible for administering its own SHIP. As a result, SHIP services may vary from state to state.
SHIP counselors are trained and certified to provide Medicare information, but they are not medical professionals. They cannot diagnose medical conditions or provide medical advice.
SHIPs are not affiliated with any insurance company or other organization that sells health insurance. They are impartial and objective, and they will not recommend or endorse any particular health insurance plan.
