1
Log on to Delta Dental's website and select "California" from the drop-down menu on the left-hand side of the screen, which will take you to a page that will allow you to choose between individual and family plans or group enrollment plans. Click on the link that fits your needs. After clicking on either link, select "California" again from the drop-down menu on the left-hand side of the screen, which will take you to a page outlining the different dental plans available.

2
Choose the plan that best fits your dental care needs and click the "enroll online" button located on the center-right part of the page, which will take you to a page outlining the annual costs of the plan. As of May 2011, the individual plan costs between $80 and $91 a year, and any plans involving dependents cost between $130 and $217, depending on how many others you will have on the plan. There is also a one-time $10 enrollment fee.

Click the "enroll" button underneath the price listing for the plan you would like to purchase, which will take you to a page to enter a broker number, if a broker assisted you, and a dental facility number from a provided internal search engine of Delta Dental-approved dentists. Enter this information and click "continue" to move to the payment page.
-
4
Enter your payment information and personal information for yourself and your dependents, if applicable, on the payment and information page. Agree to the terms and conditions of the purchase and download a copy of your purchase receipt. Alternatively, choose the option of printing and signing the purchase order and mailing it to Delta Dental and receiving a receipt for your plan purchase in the mail.
