How to Cancel Kaiser

Kaiser Permanente is a health plan that first originated in 1945, and now has millions of members. As of 2011, it is the largest managed care system in the United States. Kaiser Permanente members have access to medical care in both clinics and hospitals. Members can obtain information about their health plan through both the Internet and over the telephone. When canceling your health plan, it is best to use the telephone and talk to a live person.

  Call the number 1-800-464-4000 and press 4 on your touchtone phone for Member Services.

  Enter your 10 digit medical record number.

  When speaking to a Kaiser representative tell him that you would like to cancel your membership.

  Tell the Kaiser representative the exact date that you would like your health membership to end. Make the call at least one month before the date that you want, since it takes some time for Kaiser Permanente to process the cancellation of your health coverage.
