How to Check TriCare for Life on the Web

Tricare For Life is health care coverage for medicare-eligible, retired servicemembers of active duty, reserves and National Guard, their family members, widows or widowers and former, not-remarried, spouses, meeting additional eligibility requirements. To keep your Tricare eligibility, you must be enrolled in and pay for Medicare Part B. However, this is required only after retirement from service. Each family member who wishes to be enrolled in Tricare For Life must be current in DEERS, including up-to-date mailing address information.

  Visit the Tricare For Life website. Click on "Beneficiaries."

  Click on "Register," "Register as a Beneficiary" at the bottom of the page. Click "I Agree" to agree to the terms and conditions.

  Enter the sponsor's Social Security number, branch of military service and your relationship to him.

  Enter the last four digits of your Social Security number, your full name, date of birth, phone number and email address. Choose a user name for the website; you will not be able to change it. Select a security question and answer that you can easily remember. Click "Register Me."

  Check your mail seven to 10 days after registration to receive your temporary password. Log on to the Tricare for Life website using your chosen user name and your temporary password. You will then be prompted to change your password.
