How to Get Assistance With Medicare Part D Co-Pays
Although Medicare offers prescription drug coverage through Part D, required co-pays can be expensive. Some prescriptions are not even covered by Part D, which result in even more out-of-pocket spending. If you are struggling to afford your prescriptions, seek assistance to help cover the costs. State and private programs can lessen the financial burden. Individuals with limited income and resources are generally eligible for co-pay relief. Begin seeking assistance as soon as possible to save.Instructions

Contact the State Health Insurance Assistance Program, (SHIP). The national program offers counseling and assistance to Medicare recipients. A counselor will determine your eligibility for co-pay assistance through Medicaid. If approved, Medicaid supplements Medicare by paying the portion of medical and prescription expenses not covered.
