How to Get a Physical at a VA Hospital
Getting a physical exam through the military is nothing unusual. In fact, there are several kinds of physicals that military members are required to get throughout their careers. Once someone separates from the service and moves into the Department of Veteran Affairs, or VA, health-care network, a physical might be required now and then to establish the overall health of an individual or to determine eligibility for certain medical treatments, compensations and pensions. Whatever the reason, scheduling your VA physical shouldn't be difficult if you know how to get in the system and make an appointment.Things You'll Need
- Military discharge paperwork, such as a copy of your DD 214
- Insurance information, if you are currently insured
- Employment information
- Military service information
- Your financial information or your disability rating letter
