• Members of BCBS have the option to sign onto an online account that will answer questions specifically for them. Different procedures are covered differently for different plans. Each patient will have his own deductible, copay and coverage, depending on history, type of plan and membership.

• BCBS representatives are available to answer your procedure questions during business hours. Call the customer service number on the back of your card and press "0" to get to a representative.

Call your Doctor

• Many times, your doctor or the hospital that's performing the procedure will know if it is covered by your BCBS plan. If you're having trouble reaching a representative, you can ask your doctor to call. The insurance company may have a quicker response time for medical professionals.
