  1. Morton Learning Center LLC

    • The Morton Learning Center LLC is located in Worthington, which is just north of Columbus. It offers a variety of programs in order to meet the requirements to take the licensure test in Ohio. Traditional courses, online classes and a self-study class are available to allow those with varying schedules the opportunity to complete the program. As of September 2010, programs range from $100 to $200, the cheaper being the self-study program that requires meeting with the school in order to arrange an educational plan. The number of credit hours varies for each program, but they all meet the minimum Ohio licensure requirements of 20 credit hours.

    Hondros College

    • Hondros College is a short drive west of Columbus in Westerville, Ohio. Classes are available to prepare for licensure, increase knowledge on various subjects and for continued education. They also have three options for classes: traditional, online and self-study. Costs as of September 2010 range from $69 to $269. For traditional classes, two-day and five-day weekly programs are available. Once an insurance program is completed, Hondros College offers a pre-licensing online class that touches on the highlights in order to help prepare for Ohio's licensing exam.

    The Insurance Learning Center, Inc.

    • Located in Pickerington, Ohio, which is southeast of Columbus, courses are offered in both health and life insurance. The number of hours required for each program range from 20 to 40 and weekend classes are available. As of September, 2010, registration ranged from $74 for a self-study program to $219 for the longer traditional classes. Online classes that meet continuing education requirements for health and life insurance agents are also available.
