There is no cost for Free Drug Card. Sponsored by various non-profit organizations around the nation, the card provides up to 75 percent off most FDA approved prescription medications.
You download the card from the Free Drug Card website and print it. Keep it in your wallet and you show it to the pharmacy when dropping off or picking up prescriptions. The discount is applied with each prescription and there is no limit to the number of times it can be used. As of 2010 there were more than 54,000 pharmacies nationwide that accepted the card.
RX Free Card

The RX Free Card can be used not only by people but also for pet medication. The card is free and there are no age limits. Prescriptions for pre-existing conditions are not excluded and there is no limit to the number of times the card can be used.
You print the card from the website address and present it to the pharmacy when you pick up or drop your prescription off. The program provides up to 80 percent off for generic prescriptions, 15 percent off name brands and 80 percent off medications for your pets. When using for pets, present the discount card to the veterinarian office. As of 2010 the plan was accepted at thousands of America's pharmacies including Walgreen's, Kroger, Walmart, Target and Publix.
