  Go to the Anthem website. Click on the blue "Plans and Benefits" link from the options on the right-hand side of the screen. Select "Connecticut" from the state drop-down menu or click on the state on the map. Choose the "Get a Connecticut health insurance quote" that is embedded within the text in the first paragraph on the next page.

  Put in your zip code and choose your city from the "City/County" drop-down menu under step one. Type in the gender and date of birth for each person who will be on your plan under step two. Also place a checkmark next to their details if they are a tobacco user or a student. Choose "Individual Coverage -- Health care coverage" for your coverage type under step three. Select the day you want your coverage to begin under step four. Click the orange "Get a Quote" button.

  View your available plan options on the next page. Some plans will give you the choice to change your deductible or maximum prescription-drug coverage amount, which will change your quoted monthly premium.
