What Are the Age Qualifications for AARP Health Insurance?

  1. Senior Citizens 65 and Up

    • AARP offers MedicareComplete and Medicare Supplement for individuals ages 65 and older. For individuals with secondary health insurance, Medicare Supplement serves to help cover additional health care costs. MedicareComplete serves as a primary health insurance.

    Prescription Plans

    • AARP offers senior citizens ages 65 and up an additional AARP MedicareRX to help with the costs of prescription medication.

    Individuals Ages 50 to 64

    • AARP offers several health plans for individuals ages 50 to 64, including the Essential plan, a basic fixed-cash hospital indemnity plan; the Essential Plus plan; and the Essential Premier Plan, which offers custom-designed employer-like benefits for AARP members.

    Long Term Health Care Insurance

    • AARP offers a Long Term Health Care Insurance plan for individuals of all ages. AARP contracts with insurance companies in different states throughout the U.S. to offer this service.

    Dental Insurance

    • Dental insurance is also offered to individuals of all ages through AARP.

    Discount Programs

    • AARP offers Vision and Prescription Discount Programs to individuals of all ages.
