1
Receive your prescriptions from your physicians as usual, but ask him to make them out for a 90-day supply per prescription. The doctor should give you an average of four refills per prescription.
-
2
Take out the order form from your insurance packet of information. Use this form when you order your medication. Use the preprinted address to mail the form to the processing prescription lab.
-
3
Place the prescriptions all in one envelope with the order form and your check (copay). The average copay is $60 for a three-month supply of a name brand drug and $30 for the same amount of a generic medication. Send the order form and payment to the appropriate address for the prescription orders.
-
4
Wait while the mail order pharmacy fills your order. You will need to wait about 7-14 days before your prescriptions arrive in your mailbox.
-
5
Call the mail order pharmacy's customer service line if you have any questions on service, pricing or availability of a product.
-
6
Classify an order as "urgent" if your health will suffer because you have to wait the normal time. An urgent order can be sent overnight for an extra fee.
-
7
Refill your prescriptions by calling them in like with any other pharmacy, or you can place a refill order over the Internet.
