List of Files in Medisoft

Medisoft is a medical billing software program useful to clinics or organizations that offer health care services to paying members. The program's shortcut bar has icons that offer easy access to all of the information files maintained by Medisoft.

  1. Accounts

    • The first menu task icon includes a green dollar sign, indicating the account files that Medisoft can hold. Clicking it allows for the entry of transactions including charges billed, payments received and adjustments to patient accounts.

    Claim Management

    • The second menu task icon features a grid of red lines. Clicking it allows the user to create new insurance claims, transmit existing claims and print claims documents.

    Appointment Book

    • The third icon has a picture of a clock. Clicking it offers automatic access to the program's appointment book to view, add and update appointment information.

    Patient List

    • The fourth icon includes blue male and female figures. Clicking it allows for entry and editing of patient information.

    Insurance Carriers

    • The fifth icon is a blue cross and may be clicked to display the insurance-carrier list for a particular patient.

    Procedure Code List

    • The sixth icon has a red book with the letters "CPT." Clicking it allows access to a patient's list of procedure codes.

    Diagnoses

    • The seventh icon has a blue book with the letters "DX." Clicking it allows for entry and editing of any patient diagnoses, whether primary or secondary.

    Provider Lists

    • The eighth and ninth icons have pictures of white-coated physicians standing straight up with one pointing right. Clicking the eighth icon will show the list of providers for each patient while clicking the ninth icon with the doctor pointing to the right will generate a list of providers to whom a patient has been referred.

    Address Book

    • The tenth icon has a picture of an open yellow book. Clicking it will display the contact information for all patients entered into the Medisoft system.

    Custom Reports

    • The eleventh icon has a picture of a hand holding a sheet of paper. Clicking it allows for creation of and access to custom reports on individual patients.
