Grants for Health Procedures

Preserving and protecting the health of citizens is one of the main priorities of the federal government. For this very reason, the United States government is offering different health care grants, including programs for health procedures. Health procedures grants range from developing the skills of health care personnel, improving medical services, and funding development and improvement of different health care facilities. Eligibility for the grants depends on the nature and objectives of the program.
  1. Indian Health Service-Health Management Development Program

    • The Indian Health Service-Health Management Development Program is under the Department of Health and Human Services and the Office of Indian Health Service. The main objective of the program is to enhance the quality of preventive, curative and rehabilitative medical services to Alaska Natives and American Indians. Further, the program also provides training programs and support to help Alaska Natives and American Indians effectively manage Indian Health Services (HIS) program. Individuals may also get operational support from the program. Under the program, there are four general types of assistance provided: Planning, Feasibility Studies, Tribal Health Management Structure Development and Review. The goal is to improve health services and procedures. Tribally sanctioned tribal organizations and federally recognized tribes are eligible for the program.

    Developmental Disabilities Basic Support and Advocacy Grants

    • The Developmental Disabilities Basic Support and Advocacy Grants is a program under the Department of Health and Human Services and the office of Administration for Children and Families. The grant is authorized under the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act of 2000. Its main objective is to provide funding opportunities to help in the proper organization and organization of health services, activities and procedures. Further, the program also supports people with developmental disabilities. Aside from funding opportunities, the program also provides support in helping disabled individuals learn self-sufficiency or independence.

    Bilingual/Bicultural Service Demonstration Grants

    • The Bilingual/Bicultural Service Demonstration Grants is a program under the Department of Health and Human Services and the Office of Minority Health. The program is authorized under the Public Health Service Act. The objective of the program is to increase the cultural and linguistic competence of professionals working in health care services. The use and procedures of health care services are also covered under the grant. Health care facilities and community-based organizations serving qualified communities may qualify for the program.
