Grants for Hospital Technology & Pharmacy

Numerous organizations make grants for hospital technology and pharmacy programs, with the federal government being a primary grant provider. Technology funding includes facility improvement or development, specific equipment, or technology-based service improvements.

  1. Facilities

    • Facility grants provide funding for the improvement or development of community health care facilities, including funds for technology equipment purchases. The U.S. Department of Agriculture administers a Community Facility Grant program through Rural Development offices in each state.

    Equipment

    • Funding is available for direct purchases of information technology equipment for the electronic health records (EHR) implementation, due largely to the U.S. government mandate for EHR implementation by 2015.
