Health care services are an ever-expanding part of growing societies. There are many issues in the policies, finances, services and research of the health care industry. Private and public organizations that provide grants for health project research aim to increase the quality of health services and knowledge around the world. Individuals, non-profit organizations, government agencies and other entities are able to apply for health project grants.

  1. Changes in Health Care Financing and Organization

    • The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation is a non- profit organization that provides funding for social service projects. The Foundation has grants available for policy analysis, research and evaluation projects for the national health care system. The purpose of this grant is to increase our understanding of health care policy, financing and organizational issues. This grant call for innovative ideas and ways to finance and organize health care for better quality outcomes. Researchers who are independent and those working with public and private policy makers and practitioners are eligible for the grant. Awards are available for small projects that are $100,000 or less for a 12-month period or large projects that require in excess of $100,000 for a period exceeding 12-months.     Small Project Grant Program

    • The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHCPR) is a division of the Department of Health and Human Services that promotes research for the improvement of the health care industry. The AHCPR small grants program is designed to facilitate short-term research of clinical practices, financing and delivery of health care services. Non-profit organizations, public and private agencies, non-profit foundations and government agencies can apply. This grant does not have a deadline, so applicants can apply at their discretion.     Conservation, Food and Health Foundation Grant

    • The Conservation, Food and Health Foundation is a private organization that seeks to promote the conservation of natural resources, improve food production and improve health conditions in the developing world.
