How to Update NPI Information
An NPI (National Provider Identifier) is a number that is assigned to health care providers to help simplify electronic HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act) transactions and to help with the coordination of benefit transactions. An NPI can be obtained by individual health care providers as well as organizations. Once you have obtained an NPI, you should keep the data associated with your NPI current. You can update your NPI information by mail or online.Things You'll Need
