Part of Rhode Island's Lifespan health care system, the Comprehensive Cancer Center at Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam Hospital and Newport Hospital offers the opportunity for patients to participate in diagnostic procedures through imaging and ultrasounds, clinical studies, and support groups. The cancer center provides state-of-the art cancer care, including robotic prostatectomy, which is a robotic-assisted, minimally invasive surgery to remove tumors; robotic hysterectomy; image-guided tumor ablation; gamma knife surgery, which maximizes patient comfort and can be used to treat lesions that are inaccessible by conventional surgery and/or radiation therapy; and intensity modulated radiation therapy, which is a noninvasive procedure that pinpoints radiation delivery.

Adele R. Decof Cancer Center

The Adele R. Decof Cancer Center at Roger Williams Hospital focuses on convenience for patients and families. The center was expanded in Januray 2009 to include a new Chemotherapy Infusion Center, BMT Clinic, Multi-Disciplinary Clinic and Hematology-Oncology Clinic. The expanded center is centrally located to enhance the center's multidisciplinary approach to cancer care. It is above the radiation facility and attached to the ambulatory pavilion, so that patients, families, physicians and staff can seamlessly move from one location to another.

Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island

The Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island's Cancer Center provides a range of treatment options for a wide range of oncology and hematology diagnoses.
