How many months will it take to go from an LPN rn?
The amount of time it takes to go from an LPN to RN varies depending on the individual's education and experience. An LPN must first complete an RN program accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). An RN program may be offered at a community college or university and can take two to four years to complete. Some LPNs may be eligible for accelerated RN programs, which can be completed in as little as 12 to 18 months. After completing an RN program, the LPN must pass the NCLEX-RN examination to become a licensed registered nurse.
