How to Donate Your Body to Science for Cash

There are multiple opportunities for you to not only help the scientific world hone in on better ways to treat the afflicted, but also make some money in the process. You can take part in medical studies for new prescription drugs by searching through the right databases to see what conditions are being experimentally treated by medicinal development companies. You can also donate your plasma to facilities that collect it for cash. After seeing if you meet the requirements for eligibility, you can sign up for a study and begin making extra money by testing products on your body.

  Go to the Clinical Trails website (see Resources) and enter the medical condition you feel you want to be part of a study for, and your city's name, in the search field. If no results come up for the particular condition you first search for, try others.

  Click on one of the studies that is currently taking potential candidates, then scroll through the information on each study to find one you would like to take part in. Read the eligibility requirements for each, as well, for clinical studies are strict when recruiting candidates. The requirements will be based on the medicines being tested.

  Scroll down to the "Contacts and Information" section of the same screen if you are eligible for that particular study, then look for the contact number for the drug company that is offering the clinical study. Call the number to speak with a representative, who will officially determine eligibility and schedule you to take part in the study for compensation.

Plasma Donation

  Perform a search on the Donating Plasma website (see Resources) to find a center that collects plasma and reimburses for your donations. Enter your city, state, ZIP code and country, then click "Search" to have the results of the nearest collection facility generated for you.

  Call or visit the nearest locations from the list to set up an appointment for making a donation for cash. Some collection facilities offer more money than others, so contact a few in your general area to see which one will provide you with the most cash for your donation.

  Get evaluated by the center to see if you meet the qualifications for a plasma donation. It will screen your physical health and possible risks of contaminating the plasma bank, which could result in a denial of being included. If you pass their screening, you will collect your money after giving the amount of plasma that the specific center requests.
