What is the average number of patients per physician?

According to the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the average number of patients per physician in OECD countries in 2019 was 345. This number varies widely from country to country, however, with some countries having significantly higher or lower ratios.

For example, Greece had the highest ratio of patients per physician in 2019 at 715, while Estonia had the lowest ratio at 140. The United States had a ratio of 410 patients per physician, which is higher than the OECD average but lower than some other developed countries such as Canada and Germany.
