Top Ranked Medical Colleges in China
The People's Republic of China has more than 100 medical schools and over 30 schools of traditional medicine. Many of China's university medical programs are world class, affiliated with major international medical centers and universities, tough to get into and occasionally open to foreign students. The program is usually a five-year bachelor's degree that includes a year-long clinical rotation. Specialization requires two to three additional years and a master's degree.-

Peking University, one of the world's leading universities, is home to the Peking University Health Science Center. The school, located in the Haidian District of Beijing, offers eight specialties: basic medical sciences, clinical medicine, preventive medicine, stomatology (dentistry), pharmacy, nursing, medical laboratory diagnosis and biomedical English. It has 57 doctoral programs, 66 master's programs and six post-doctoral programs.

Tsinghua University, located in Beijing and counted in the top five of China's higher educational institutions, is now partnering with Yale University to implement a four-year development program to train Chinese women as health care managers and officials. Tsinghua's medical school, considered by some to be the best in China, contains leading research departments such as the Institute of Neural Engineering in the Institutes of Biomedicine, part of the Department of Biomedical Engineering.

Zhejiang University School of Medicine in Hangzhou developed from a College of Medicine founded in 1912. It is one of the most famous of China's medical colleges, known for its scientific research and boasting seven departments that range from nursing to clinical medicine to public health. Zhejiang publishes the "Chinese Journal of Emergency Medicine," the "Journal of Infectious Diseases" and the "Journal of Practical Oncology," among other professional journals.
Fudan University Shanghai Medical College

Fudan University Shanghai Medical College in Shanghai grew out of one of the earliest medical schools in China. Today it has exchange programs with Harvard University, Columbia University and the University of Sydney, among others. Fudan Medical College has 27 departments of basic medical science, eight Shanghai Clinic Medical Centers and four research stations that serve 29 doctoral programs and 36 masters programs as well as post-doctoral medical researchers.
