How Do I Appeal the Medicare Part B Monthly Charge?
Medicare is health insurance offered to elderly and disabled individuals through the Social Security Administration. There are three main parts to Medicare. Part A covers hospital services and is free to people who have worked enough quarters. Part B covers doctor appointments, tests and lab work. Part D is for prescriptions.Medicare Part B recipients pay a monthly premium that is deducted from the benefit amount. The premium varies, depending upon the date you applied.
There is no appeal process for the Medicare Part B monthly charge, as it is mandatory. However, there are government programs that will pay the premium for eligible members.
