10 Best Medicare Supplements in Florida
Florida Medicare Supplements, commonly known as Medigap, are private health insurance plans designed to cover the "gap" between the total amount charged and the amount reimbursed by Medicare. The plans are offered as private supplements and sold to Medicare beneficiaries in Florida and throughout the United States who are enrolled in Medicare Part A and B. In Florida there are 12 Medicare Supplement Insurance Plans to choose from; 10 of these plans are Plans A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and J.-

-
Medicare Plan A covers only the basic benefits: hospital coinsurance, blood deductible coverage, 365 additional days of hospitalization coverage and Part B coinsurance (20 percent of outpatient expenses).

Medicare Supplement Plan G
-
Although most of the big expenses approved by Medicare are covered, if the calendar year deductible is not met, Medicare Plan G requires the recipient to pay any gaps left by Medicare Part A and Part B. This plan covers at-home recovery, foreign travel, Part A deductible, skilled nursing coinsurance and Part B excess (80 percent).
Medicare Supplement Plan H
-
Medicare Plan H is similar to Plan C because it also covers most of what Medicare Insurance doesn't, as long as it is approved by Medicare. Part A deductible, foreign travel, skilled nursing coinsurance and basic benefits are covered by Plan H.
Medicare Supplement Plan I
-
Plan I covers all major gaps left by Medicare Insurance except Part B deductible and Preventive Care. Plan I includes basic benefits, at-home recovery, foreign travel, Part A deductible and skilled nursing coinsurance.
