Criteria of a Nursing Profession
Nursing is a profession that requires both technical skills and interpersonal skills. Nurses must be able to provide physical care for patients, as well as provide emotional support and comfort. In order to be a successful nurse, one must meet the following criteria:

* Experience: Most hospitals require nurses to have at least one year of experience before they can be hired. Experience can be gained through clinical rotations during nursing school, or through working as a certified nursing assistant (CNA).
* Skills: Nurses must have a variety of skills, including:
* Technical skills, such as the ability to take vital signs, administer medication, and insert IVs
* Interpersonal skills, such as the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families, and provide emotional support
* Critical thinking skills, such as the ability to assess patient needs and make appropriate decisions
* Values: Nurses must uphold certain values, such as:

* Respect for others
* Confidentiality
* Integrity
