Can you become a nurse in prison?

In most countries, including the United States, it is not possible to become a nurse while in prison. Nursing is a licensed profession that requires a high level of education, training, and clinical experience. In order to become a nurse, individuals must complete a nursing education program and pass the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX). Prisons do not offer nursing education programs, and inmates do not have the opportunity to gain the clinical experience necessary to become a nurse.
