What is pnc in cardiology?

Pressure-controlled Near Continuous (PNC) Ventilation

* Pressure controlled near continuous(PNC) ventilation aims to achieve and maintain alveolar recruitment of collapsed lung while limiting ventilator induced lung injury

* Uses high PEEP levels which approach, or in some settings, slightly exceed the peak inspiratory pressure.

* PNC is not time cycled, instead its based upon the flow measured.
